Sandy Boyce is undertaking a major research project with a view to publication of key documents, writings and records of the renewal of the diaconate in the UCA, from the Joint Commissions on Church Union reports (1958, 1963) to the relevant UCA Assembly reports and decisions.
Some key documents are listed below. Sandy will welcome anyone who has material that could be included in the anticipated publication, which would be required reading for Deacon (and MoW?) candidates, and an invaluable resource for faculty, congregations, Presbyteries, Placement Committees, Selection Panels etc.
